The Exchange Brewery has received Gold, Silver and Bronze for three of its signature beers, at the 14th annual Ontario Brewing Awards. These awards come just a few weeks after The ExB’s big wins at the 2017 New York International Beer competition; making the year of 2017 an already extremely successful one – on both an international and local level – for the Niagara-based craft brewery.

« We were very honoured to be recognized by the Ontario Brewing Awards for two of our barrel-aged sour beers, » says Sam Maxbaeur, Head Brewer at The ExB. « Our brewers have a passion for sour and funky Belgian-style ales with a focus on barrel-aging. We have been so pleased with our barrel program and the blends we have been able to create in the first year. »
« We are all incredibly excited about the awards and new hardware we received from the OBA’s, » adds Christine Nagy, brewer at The ExB. « We love brewing these beers and have been very happy with the way they have developed. Knowing that others love them too makes those long barrel days worth it! »
The Ontario Brewing Awards testifies to the ever-growing vitality and originality of the Ontario Beer scene; and The Exchange Brewery is humbled to be recognized for playing a significant part in it.
