We at The Exchange Brewery, in partnership with the Niagara-on-the-Lake Chamber of Commerce, are excited to present to you the first brewery-run, Niagara-based festival focused on sour beers: Sourpalooza.
On September 8th, 2018, at the Old Court House in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, The Sourpalooza Beer Festival will gather together (11) eleven breweries celebrating some of the best sour beers from Ontario and beyond.
« Hosting the first ever sour beer-focused festival for the Niagara Region is an idea we have talked about since the early days of The Exchange Brewery. We hope this event will draw both sour beer lovers and anyone with an interest in these styles to Niagara-on-the-Lake,” says Sam Maxbauer, Head Brewer at The Exchange Brewery. “We wanted to have a brewer-curated festival line-up with some of our favourite sour beer producers from across the province and beyond. Together with our colleagues, we hope to help educate, foster new experiences for festival-goers with niche beer styles and continue to grow the festival year after year. And of course, have lots of fun in the process!”
“We’re looking forward to welcoming sour beer lovers to Niagara, to experience an amazing lineup of sour brews at Sourpalooza. Plus, we can’t wait for folks to discover (or rediscover) the beautiful town of Niagara-on-the-Lake!” adds Robin Ridesic, founder & CEO. “A day can’t get much better than 3 hours of sour beer sampling, followed by some shopping, theatre, a hike or bike along the Niagara River, or visiting the plethora of fabulous breweries and wineries in Niagara-on-the-Lake.”
Lineup: The Exchange Brewery, Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales, Burdock Brewery , Block Three Brewing Company, A la Fut, Small Pony Barrel Works, Bench Brewing Company, Niagara Oast House Brewers, Indie Ale House Brewing Co., Blood Brothers Brewing, Fairweather Brewing Company.
