For Light The Way, our Social Media Manager Sara chose to donate to Plenty Canada in memory of her grandmother, Beverly Brant who passed away on April 2022. She was a part of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte [KENHTÈ:KE KANYEN’KEHÁ:KA] (Turtle Clan). Through telling stories, attending pow-wows, collecting and gifting all things turtle to her children & grandchildren, Beverly was always keen on keeping her indigenous roots alive and thriving through her family. She now rests in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, Deseronto, ON with her Mother, Father & fellow clan members.
