February 6, 2019 – The Exchange Brewery is pleased to announce that its New-England IPA 473ml cans are hitting the shelves of the LCBO (week of Feb.4) and will be available for in-store purchases and online orders. The Exchange Brewery’s first offer in hoppy haze boasts solid bitterness with a fruity, juicy explosion of hop flavours and aromas.
Launched early 2018 in the brewery’s tap room, The Exchange’s New England IPA is the genius result of the brewers’ experiments in new yeast and hop combinations. The ExB brewers tried their hands at hop-du-jour, El Dorado, known for its big fruity punch and nice bittering properties. The brewers were also happy to show some local love by using a Vermont Ale yeast from Escarpment Labs. The hoppy ale became an instant hit in the taproom, and was released in 473ml cans at the brewery later in the year.
Tasting Notes – The Exchange’s New England IPA is moderately hazy and offers a burst of peach and tropical fruits (pineapple and mango), backed with an assertive hoppy bitterness and balanced with a medium silky mouthfeel. Haze and juicy flavours of sweet orange, with a clean finish.
Broad Appeal – The Exchange’s New England IPA is a year-round LCBO release, that responds to the ever-growing demand in Vermont-style and hazy beers, that have become extremely popular and sough-after in Ontario in the past 2 years. Offering such a popular style in a 473ml can format makes it an approachable beer, easy to carry along and to enjoy all year round.
