Non-Alcoholic Jelly King is the culmination of our efforts to make a non-alc beer in Jelly King’s image, and one that can convincingly wear the Jelly King crown. We don’t often toot our own horn, but we’re really happy with the results.

Jelly King translates well to a non-alc version, as many of the flavours that make it so nice to drink come from the yeast and the bacteria used in the brewing process. We sour the base of both the beer and the non-alc in the same way, and this results in interesting, predominantly peachy characteristics brought on by mixed fermentation.

This limited edition Non-Alc Jelly King variant was conditioned on loads of raspberries and blackberries.

ABOUT BELLWOODS BREWERY

Bellwoods Brewery began as a small brewpub in the west end of Toronto in 2012, and underwent a couple modest growth spurts over the years to encompass two retail shops (selling fresh cans and bottles), and a production brewery in North York (mostly to house The Foeder Pyramid). These days, they produce about 18,000hL a year, which is a mere blip in the grand scheme of Ontario beer, but keeps them pretty busy.

The styles they are interested in brewing range greatly, and they always remain open to new ways of making beer. For the most part, Bellwoods current efforts are devoted to aromatic hoppy stuff, crisp lagers, barrel aged wild blends, fruit-forward zingers, and the occasional barrel aged stout. There’s always a new, creative project waiting in the wings.

They are still a relatively small, collaborative team, forever dedicated to the pursuit of perfect beer.
