PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
The Exchange Brewery in Niagara-on-the-Lake is currently looking for a passionate and driven person to fill the FULL-TIME position of Production Assistant on our team.
We are looking for candidates that are passionate about craft beer and want to learn more about the industry. They will work with our small team of brewers to keep things moving in the brewery and handle deliveries to our local accounts and barrel warehouse. Candidates with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and an eagerness to learn will be a great fit with our brewing team.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Washing and filling kegs
- Assist with bottling, canning, labeling, and preparing products for transport
- Assist with maintenance and cleaning of canning line
- Transporting products to our warehouse, distributors and local accounts
- General brewery cleaning as per SOPs
- Warehouse organization, order picking for taproom
- Draft line cleaning
Candidate Qualifications:
- Brewery or winery experience and/or education a plus
- Must be able to lift and move with ease up to 40 kg
- Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods
- Must be tolerant of extreme working conditions (heat/cold/humidity)
- Must be committed to the team and a safe work environment
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and comfortable driving Sprinter van
