The Exchange Brewery has received Gold, Silver and Bronze for three of its signature beers, at the 14th annual Ontario Brewing Awards. These awards come just a few weeks after The ExB’s big wins at the 2017 New York International Beer competition; making the year of 2017 an already extremely successful one – on both an international and local level – for the Niagara-based craft brewery.
Ontario Brewing Awards for The Exchange Brewery :
GOLD : Oud Bruin (Farmhouse Dark Category)
SILVER : Flanders Red Ale (Farmhouse Dark Category)
BRONZE : Amber Ale (Amber Ale Category)
« We were very honoured to be recognized by the Ontario Brewing Awards for two of our barrel-aged sour beers, » says Sam Maxbaeur, Head Brewer at The ExB. « Our brewers have a passion for sour and funky Belgian-style ales with a focus on barrel-aging. We have been so pleased with our barrel program and the blends we have been able to create in the first year. »

The Ontario Brewing Awards testifies to the ever-growing vitality and originality of the Ontario Beer scene; and The Exchange Brewery is humbled to be recognized for playing a significant part in it.
Bottles of the Oud Bruin ($14), the Flanders Red Ale ($14) and the Amber Ale ($10) are available for sale at The Exchange Brewery Bottle shop (7 Queen Street, NOTL). The Oud Bruin and Flanders Red Ale will both be available on tap at Birreria Volo (612 College St, Little Italy, Toronto), on May 9th (from 6:30pm ‘til beer runs out) for an exclusive, one-night only, sour beer tap take-over.
