The Exchange Brewery is pleased to announce that its Twig & Berries: Gin-inspired Botanical Ale (330ml bottle format) is now available at LCBO stores across Ontario. This limited release is part of the brewery’s rotational sour beer series, in LCBO stores.
This sour ale was inspired by the array of herbs, spices, and fruit flavours of our favorite gin recipes. It was aged in gin barrels for a light fruity sour with notes of juniper and citrus.
The Exchange Brewery’s Twig & Berries has an ABV of 5.1%.
Tasting notes: The aroma of fresh fruits and juniper blend with tart, citrusy flavours. The moderate sourness is balanced by a small amount of residual sweetness from malted wheat leaving a refreshing, but not overly drying, finish. Juniper and grapefruit flavours evolve over time to create notes of mint and pine.
Broad Appeal: Its small 330ml format, well-balanced tartness, fresh citrus notes and sweet finish, make it a perfect introduction to sour beer for the novice beer enthusiast.
This beer is bottle-conditioned, resulting in a long shelf life and shelf stability (i.e, refrigeration while aging is not required). Beer collectors will enjoy tasting the progression of the beer as it matures and develops with age. This product is a Spring/Summer Season LCBO listing; limited volumes available.
